Tony Romo shows something in the off-season he hasn’t during the season.

Tony Romo shows ice running through his veins and a cold heart as he breaks up with Jessica Simpson the day before her 29th birthday.

Source close to Simpson said that the “sudden” split wasn’t so sudden after all.

“It was a long time coming, he hasn’t really been into her and the relationship for awhile, but stayed together because he didn’t want to look like a jerk for not having a better reason to break it off,” said our source. “And she’s trying to save face by saying that it’s because of their busy schedules.”

Jessica’s father, Joe Simpson was a big reason the couple had split 14-Months ago. Once the two had reconciled Joe claimed he would play the sideline role more this time around.

However, speculation is that Joe was attempting to even give Tony advice on the field. An insider said “That didn’t go so well,” as Tony was a football superstar before he got mixed up in the Hollywood scene.

The two of them certainly celebrated Jessica’s birthday in extremely different ways.

Miss Simpson sought solace and spent the special birthday weekend with her folks, while Romo partied like a rockstar at Hollywood hotspot MyHouse on Friday night with some pals.

According to an eyewitness, Romo and his entourage drank GreyGoose and took over the dance floor until the club closed and weren’t a bit shy when the ladies approached their table. Tony was seen chatting away with the women until after hours.

A four-team deal sending Shawn Marion to the Dallas Mavericks has been approved.

Under the sign-and-trade deal, the Orlando Magic traded Hedo Turkoglu to the Toronto Raptors. The Raptors sent Marion, Kris Humphries, Nathan Jawai and cash considerations to Dallas, while also sending a future second round draft pick to the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Mavericks in turn shipped Jerry Stackhouse and cash considerations to the Grizzlies and Devean George and Antoine Wright to Toronto, while the Grizzlies dealt Greg Buckner to Dallas.

The San Antonio Spurs landed free agent Antonio McDyess on Wednesday in another big offseason pickup.

McDyess, who despite being 34 was among the most sought players on the market this summer, reached a deal with the Spurs and is expected to sign later this week, team spokesman Cliff Puchalski said.

Terms of the deal were not fully disclosed, but the Spurs had their full midlevel exception, worth about $5.85 million this season, to offer the 6-foot-9 forward.
